Design Junky began in 2012. That first year was slow going with a few friends as clients. Since then, business has really picked up. Design Junky now has over 20 clients and the number is rising. I work predominately in WordPress for it’s ease of use, both for the designer and the client, but am able to work in other programs as well. I have designed a variety of sites, including personal blogs, small business sites, author sites, ministry and church sites, construction sites, and e-commerce sites. I would love to be able to design your site!
I’m an eclectic personality with a love of bright colors and vintage flair. I completed my college degree with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, with a focus in Multimedia and Visual Communication, in October of 2011. I didn’t always want to be a website designer. In fact, in my younger years, I wanted to be a teacher and a mom. I became a mom in 2001 to a great young man. I tried to go to school on and off for several years after that but it wasn’t until 2008 that I was able to fully invest time and energy into getting my degree. I chose the design path because it looked interesting and I quickly became hooked on coding. I studied HTML and CSS, which I use of course on a daily basis. I also studied Java Programming, which I must admit, I do not like. All in all, I knew from my first taste of HTML that I would do this for a living. I am excited to be able to work with you on your site!
